Here’s an idea! Lets make the 25th ‘An Apple for Ataxia’ day as well.
Thinking about how we can all support National Ataxia Awareness got me thinking about how, as a community, we could do something together that we could share here. I bet there are folks here who will want to take me up on this and add to this list and tell us what you did…Prize? A beautiful fresh apple of your choice!!
Eat an apple.
Give an apple.With a reason.
Share an apple with someone.
Paint or draw an apple.
Use your Apple device for a good cause…
Write an apple poem…
Write an apple story…
What is the apple you’re eating telling you? …food for thought!
Who’s kissed you under the apple tree? (Lol!)
Share a recipe with apples…
Plant an apple tree…
Grow apple seeds…not easy! Tips?
Be an apple in someone’s life…
Who are the apples in your lives?..
What’s your genetic apple tree…?
Did you fall far from the tree…?
What grubs eat your apple?
Who’s pruned your tree? Funny or sad?
Who would you want to spit pips at? (Lol!)
What was the best apple you’ve ever tasted?
Who loves cider?
Could you be William Tell?
What would you tell?
Anyone allergic to apples?
Apple smoothies?
Best apps for Apples…?
You get the idea. Join me in some fun -and thought provoking -notions and tell us all about it!
Here’s a poem based on the letters of a word (called an acrostic). Great for tiny poems and bigger ideas…
All of us know the ataxia thing.
Perhaps we can grow together.
Pips can become trees.
Life can be forest or an orchard.
Each to their own. But fruiting and branching. 288-image.jpg (6.62 KB)

Cooked by a loved one,
Prepared with care,
It brings back memories
We can share.
Fruit of the land, given for free
A reminder of good times
Of family tea…

Fruit of the land, given for free
A reminder of good times
Of family tea.............
I've got happy memories of family tea-times, from when I was a small child.
A laden table, almost always with an Apple Tart, mmm! xB

The best apple I ever ate?
It was in 1982, the year we had moved to Virginia. In the garden of the house we bought, there was an apple tree which gave very few fruit. I still remember the sweetness and crunchiness of the first one I picked right of the tree. I never enjoyed such an apple like this one. I think of it often when I sink my teeth into an one. It was special!
Unfortunately, the tree died that year. But I still eat apples hoping that one day I will find one as good as my Virginia apple…
Ah Beryl! It is time after 50 years that you knew why you parents did not let you eat the apple: they had read the story of “The Sleeping Beauty” and they did not want their little girl to eat a perhaps poisoned apple…
See, they were only protecting you.
D'you know, you could be right, if only I'd realised! xB

Beryl, this video is really adorable ! The music is awesome. It sounds like it was composed just for this movie! Thanks for posting. I had fun watching!
