Can anybody tell me what to expect symptom wise with gluten exposure after going gluten free? I've been GF for about four months now and have had a huge improvement in my ataxia. If I'm exposed to gluten now though, my symptoms are horrendous, as in worse than ever. Does anybody know whether the reactions will decrease in severity over time, or continue to get worse?
I baked with gluten containing flour for my family yesterday and today I'm just a waste of space. I didn't even have the pleasure (albeit shortlived) of eating the baking! I have really bad nausea, I walk like a drunk, have severe nerve pain, speech and writing issues, want to bawl my eyes out and just want to crawl under a rock and die!
If things aren't going to improve, I'll have to either get the kids to do the baking, or they'll all be going GF with me.
