We have really deep snow here, so I haven't been able to get out for 2 days, the snow in drive is half way up Inca's legs so no way I can get the scooter or powerchair up there.

She has been playing in the garden though, I sit in doorway (my bedroom has door into garden) and chuck some of the snow that's in front of me she likes to chase it, she been rolling in it doing doggy snow angels and slide down the slope at back of garden!

" I don't seem to be going as fast as they do on telly... maybe I forgot something!! "

I should have enough food to last me to end of week so thinking of ordering a food delivery to arrive for when my milk runs out. just hope the delivery drivers can get down here.

There is a road between the bush near Inca and the fence opposite us but you can't really see it!

I was hoping it would stop and then start to melt but we are still having intermittent heavy snow and then lighter. Don't know how I will manage if it carries on for much longer and gets deeper as family will be struggling to get to me with cars and if delivery vans cant get here either for me to get food delivered I'm not sure what I should do.

We haven't had heavy snow like this in Yorkshire for years and I wasn't in a wheelchair when we did have it this bad. Usually we have had a week of mild snow that has usually started to melt by lunchtime the following day and I have been able to get Inca out at least once a day by the following afternoon.

It may look very pretty and picturesque but it makes trying to live independently even harder if delivery services can't get to you either.

I used to love picturesque snow like this - especially as an amateur photographer!

I have very quickly gone off it this winter.

Take care - regards,

michael
