Founded by Kyle Bryant, the Ride Ataxia team has traveled over 3,500 miles in three years raising invaluable awareness for Friedreich's Ataxia (FA) and research funds approaching the $1 million level. In 2009, the inaugural Ride Ataxia Philadelphia hosted 350 cyclists and raised $120,000 for FA research.The second annual Ride Ataxia Philadelphia offers 10, 25, and 50 mile cycling route options along scenic country roads, inviting all levels of riders. Ride Ataxia Philadelphia benefits the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA). FARA is a non-profit organization dedicated to research and a cure for Friedreich's ataxia- a debilitating, life-shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder.
