| Ride Ataxia Dallas The Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) is proud to partner with Outback Steakhouse for a day of physical achievement and family fun. Ride Ataxia cycling events across the country have raised invaluable awareness for Friedreich's ataxia (FA) and funded $960,000 in FA research grants in just 4 short years. Teammates,
Thank you for your participation in Ride Ataxia Dallas 2011! The ride was a great success with 555 registered cyclists and over $170,000 raised to support FARA's mission- to treat and cure Friedreich's ataxia (FA) through research advancement. Twelve of our FA families, from Oklahoma, Michigan, Oregon, Florida and neighboring cities in Texas, joined us on bikes and trikes - marking the day as one of camaraderie and personal triumph.
FARA is grateful to Outback Steakhouse for making Ride Ataxia a truly great event. Outback's steadfast partnership has allowed FARA to direct more funds to research than ever before. This year for the Dallas ride, Outback Steakhouse employees donated tips, held fundraising contests and got creative with the result of a check for $124,500 to support research for FA. We cannot thank Outback enough for their commiment to treatments and a cure for FA.
