Living With Ataxia - Online Support Group

Ataxia is hard thing to live with but some people just do not see it as a barricade to do the things they like. In fact, some people perceive it as an inspiration to move on and enjoy life’s most exciting moments.  If every day is a challenge with Ataxia, but some just do not lose to it because it is not worth it. What is more worth it is making memorable and unforgettable experience that will leave footprints many would follow.  Just like Douglas Silas, a man who suffered from Cerebellar Ataxia but is very courageous to raise pounds and cycled from Jerusalem to Eilat between November 19 and 27. Ataxia is incurable, but for him, fear can always be cured if you just stand against it. He fought against the ataxia symptoms such as the issues with co-ordination and balance, and survives the disease. Now who could ever forget his bravery? The good thing about it is that he was never alone in the battle. He had Michael Cash alongside him, though he was also suffering from Cerebral Palsy. Read his story today, and be inspired to leave your own footprints so that others could follow too. Stand up to life’s most exciting moments.
