I wonder how "typical" it is to have diplopia (i.e. double vision) as a symptom of ataxia. Anyone here? I always thought it was related to my brain (ex-) tumour, but ataxia... I found this site some…

Hi Anna Yup I also have sporadic double vision for which London recommended Baclofen. Am on 30mg which does help. Also have nystagmus which makes me look even more attractive! Have you tried Baclofen? love and light S-J

I have terrible double-vision and terrible(er) coke bottle glasses! I didn't need glasses for it though, until my symptoms started presenting themselves.

Welcome to the group, your little cat looks so cute asleep! I'm not sure regarding the photo's I'll have to ask Ben or Scott as they are the 'tech guys' who put the site together etc.
Re: Ataxia V Dystonia, I'm not sure either. I seen videos on Youtube about Dystonia but the movements seem much more severe and erratic and mine aren't like that. My fingers sometimes 'flex' on their own even when resting and not trying to stiffen them to type with. I find it really makes hands hurt after a while when I been typing with fingers flexed to hit keys, but otherwise my wrists are quite floppy and i cant just keep index finger flexed without whole hand been flexed. Its either stiff or floppy I don't seem to have an inbetween setting.. lol! I'm looking into finger splints that I seen on one lady who uses it to access an ipod with text-to-speech program on, as it may make it easier for me to text on my blackberry storm too.
