Hi Adrienne

Yes I got your email and got someone to listen to the video you suggested.

As a community manager I feel the members of Living with Ataxia have a right to know that what they would be in fact purchasing is a small jar/tube of 'anti aging cream' which will cost them $85 (or £52.73 not including import tax and delivery).

According to Shaklee's own website the research has not been approved or accredited by the relevant agencies

The video you sent me a link to does not mention Vivix helping tremors or Ataxia anywhere in it.

Whilst we cannot prevent our members buying your 'anti-aging cream' in the hope it will cure them of (or stop) tremors, we would ask members to bear in mind that what may have worked for one person will not necessarily work for another. It would be interesting to know if Mr Huntsman is on any other medication (and i mean proper medication prescribed by a doctor) that may have also helped with reducing the tremors or if in fact it could be a combination of different ingredients causing this specific reaction?

Kati, I'm sorry. Someone watched the wrong video. I'll try sending you a link to the right video called "Why We Age". It is 7 minutes long. Jamie McManus, MD, explains the science of aging, recent research into that phenomenon, and some of the things we can do to slow the process. HERE'S THE LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xL_YM_BKYo This should take you to the correct video.

In laboratory studies, Vivix® ingredients have been shown to impact the four key mechanisms of cellular aging. There are four key mechanisms of cellular aging:
DNA DAMAGE. Every cell in the body is bombarded daily by up to a million DNA-damaging assaults that can harm the cell’s genetic database, creating a “typo” that may compromise cell function and longevity.
GENETIC REGULATORS. Genetic regulators contribute to age-related cellular deterioration by controlling the dynamic balance between damage and repair, including whether a cell lives or dies.
DECLINING CELLULAR ENERGY PRODUCTION. Mitochondria in our cells create energy we can’t live without. As mitochondrial efficiency decreases, cell function declines.
ACCUMULATION OF AGE PROTEINS. Excess accumulation of advanced glycation end products (AGE) can cause cellular
damage that can compromise cell integrity and longevity.

I hope this will be helpful. Also, Kati, keep in mind that it was never stated that Vivix cures tremors. Becky asked the question...what have others found? I stumbled into your blog area in researching Ataxia while at the website about Ataxia. Paul Huntsman has found results. Shaklee is a money back guarentee for customer satisfaction and is returnable for any reason.

In the mean time, were you able to read the profile on Paul Huntsman? All your questions are answered there as far as his medications and history. Also, did the attachments come through? Vivix is proven to repair DNA...clinically proven.

I'm sorry but I disagree with your statement "Also, Kati, keep in mind that it was never stated that Vivix cures tremors"

That is the video the person watched and it still does not mention its ability to 'stop tremors' as you said in your very first post and I quote
"Hi Becky, I have information about stopping the tremors! I was researching Ataxia as I am interviewing a friend of mine who is living with Ataxia. I'm doing a featured article on him. He just told me about his tremors stopping!"

The information you then sent me via email mentioned Vivix by name as it also does on your friends page.

Quote "ANOTHER BIG THING is that the tremors have stopped!!! Paul has been able to rake leaves...run a leaf blower, stain his picnic table, shovel snow because of Vivix."

I'm sure I can't be the only person who feels that this is a very clever marketing strategy to give people the believe that your product may also stop their tremors if they bought them whilst your disclaimer no doubt quite cleverly protects you in case they find it doesn't work for them.

Whilst I'm glad your friend has found our site for support, I do not agree with sales people of companies such as yours joining our site to find customers by cleverly misleading them into the hope that your product may stop or control their symptoms, without any scientific proof that your product specifically helps Ataxia
