Hello Kati

Carol
Thank you :O)
Well done, and a good story. i defiantly know more about light writers now, they sound useful.
Wow! L3600 = $4900 US dollars. That seems like a lot. The best Apple 15-MacBook Pro laptop is $2199 - and smaller ones are cheaper. If you got the Lightwriter, it must be better. What are the differences?

The Lightwriter was £3,200 ($5,148.63) and was funded for me. I got my Macbook off ebay for £500! ($804,47).

It was the best for me at the time as there wasn't the apps and accessories for me to be able to manage anything smaller and I didnt want a windows device.

I now use an iPad and iPhone though with Proloquo2go app for text-to-speech which is only about £109 ($149)  in comparison to $5,000!!

I am currently signed up to be Beta tester for the word prediction feature coming to Proloquo2go so will be doing a review when it is officially released to compare the word prediction with that on the Lightwriter.

I have found though using Lightwriter in public I got pitying glances and it made me feel more disabled so I quickly stopped using it unless I had no choice and it was a private appointment like in a doctors office.

I prefer using my iPhone in public like a shop cos people think a talking iPhone is cool.

I just happened upon this today.

Nice job Kati :)

I'd like to invite you to do a guest post om my blog.

Hi Jon

Yes I will write something for you, it maybe next week as I'm quite busy with appointments this week.

I looked at your site about your symptoms. I have been following the Forced Exercise theory for a year now and had some significant improvements. Here's my blog on it:
